Gustav's tail started shredding and getting bloody about 3 weeks ago. I immediately moved him into the hospital tank and gave him tetracycline. He lost a lot of his fin, so I kept cleaning the tank to get rid of it. But he ate, was happy, swam around, and got better. We left him there a week after the medication run. Then we put him back into the main tank. We moved another fish into the hospital tank to deal with a long-standing fungal infection. But Gustav got worse again right away.
I noticed our plecostomus (Sid) was periodically munching on Gustav's tail, and it got bloody again. I kept feeding Sid and scaring him to keep him aw
